Today was one of those days when nothing seemed to flow in the right direction (we've all had them). Before I knew it, I was letting the day's events lead me, which is definitely not good. Once I
realized I was letting these things weigh me down, I just stopped what I was doing,
and let myself sink back where I really belong, in His loving arms.
Simply taking a few breadths with Him makes all the difference in the world.
For me it's like walking through a waterfall, and all the day's things which are
so bothersome, seem to detach and fell to the ground in a matter of minutes.
Some circumstances may not change, but it sure makes a difference
if they are dragging you down, or if they are down at your feet
where you can then walk around them.

DeleteI love this painting because it adequately depicts what happened to me last weekend at Pagosa Springs as I stood under the waterfall and tears were quietly streaming down my face and my husband was silently praying for me. I felt such release as my Father God helped me to let go of the burdens of the past week. So nice to have a picture to help relate my story. Thanks God for Laura's gift!
ReplyDeleteRelease is a wonderful gift and God has so much to give away, all we have to do is open it. Thanks so much for sharing, It's such a blessing to hear testimony of how He uses a simple painting. That's really what motivates me to paint... He has special things in them :)
