Walking Through Waterfalls

Acrylic on 9x10 canvas
Today was one of those days when nothing seemed to flow in the right direction (we've all had them). Before I knew it, I was letting the day's events lead me, which is definitely not good. Once I
realized I was letting these things weigh me down, I just stopped what I was doing,
and let myself sink back where I really belong, in His loving arms.
Simply taking a few breadths with Him makes all the difference in the world.
For me it's like walking through a waterfall, and all the day's things which are
so bothersome, seem to detach and fell to the ground in a matter of minutes.
Some circumstances may not change, but it sure makes a difference
if they are dragging you down, or if they are down at your feet
where you can then walk around them.

  2. I love this painting because it adequately depicts what happened to me last weekend at Pagosa Springs as I stood under the waterfall and tears were quietly streaming down my face and my husband was silently praying for me. I felt such release as my Father God helped me to let go of the burdens of the past week. So nice to have a picture to help relate my story. Thanks God for Laura's gift!

    1. Release is a wonderful gift and God has so much to give away, all we have to do is open it. Thanks so much for sharing, It's such a blessing to hear testimony of how He uses a simple painting. That's really what motivates me to paint... He has special things in them :)
